Happy Belated Holidays

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season! So, it has been awhile. In my defense, the holiday season with 4 kids and major home renovations going on is quite a feat in itself. We all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas was a blast. The kids are at great ages to finally enjoy it and "get it." It's wonderful to watch the magic of the season through your children's eyes. New Year's Eve was fun. Keith and all the kids roasted marshmellows on the firepit and then came in for some popcorn and sparkling cider. New Years Day brought the stomach flu to everyone except Keith. What a trooper he was! Now that the holidays are over and the renovations are complete, we have been trying to enjoy the winter with the kids. Here are some of our latest photos of the Holiday Season!

FAS Family Fun Fall Festival

Since I am part of the FAS PTO, this is one of the activities that I helped organize for the kids. It was sunny, but it was absolutely freezing out that day! The kids had a great time, and had more than their share of cotton candy and popcorn! Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the day!

Happy Halloween!

Here are some pictures from Halloween! Doesn't Colin look HAPPY!!!!!

HAPPY FALL!

Fall is here, as are all the fun activities that come with it. Football, apple picking, pumpkin carving and Halloween. This year, we did it all....and more. We went to an awesome corn maze with the kids in Sterling , MA. It was designed like the Olympic torch and took us over an hour to get through. It was a blast and something all the kids could enjoy. Keith and I took Slade and a bunch of his friends to Witches Woods at Nashoba Valley. There were probably 40 of us (kids and parents) and we all had a blast! We actually took up a whole hayride! What a fun night, a little scary and a lot of fun! I think the parents had more fun though, laughing as some of the kids had the lights scared out of them! Slade's football team had a tough year (0-8), but Slade did well with a bunch of tackles, a few fumble recoveries and at least 2 sacks. We took the kids to Parlee Farms and they had a great time.....we picked apples and the kids played on the Hay Maze forever! We carved pumpkins with the kids, (which proved interesting and messy!) and I made the traditional pumpkin seeds. Last night was Halloween. We had a great time, the kids looked fantastic and everyone was in great spirits. We didn't get home until 8pm, so a full 2 hours of trick or treating with 3 little ones and a very helpful older brother. With 4 kids, we are now getting wise. We took our wagon for Dillan and Shealyn, so they could just jump out and run to the houses and Colin chilled out in his stroller! No whining that "our legs are tired" this year! They all had their PJ's on under their costumes so when we got home, they had a few treats, we brushed their teeth and off to bed they went. This morning they discovered that the Great Pumpkin had come. They picked out a few of their favorite candies to keep last night and the rest was left for the Great Pumpkin, who came to visit overnight and took the candy and left them each a webkin! (The junkyard will have a surplus of candy for at least a week!!!) So overall, a great fall! Now we're moving on to Thanksgiving and Christmas, which we are all looking forward to!

Keith's Best Presents!

I absolutely love this picture, so I just had to find a reason to post it. This is on Keith's birthday as he rushes home from work so we can sing to him, pack the cake back up and fly to Slade's football scrimmage, saving the cake for 8:30pm when we all get home! Keith gets the award for Dedicated Dad! Don't you just love Dillan and Shea's fake smiles!!!

1st Days of School

Okay~ I can barely believe summer is over before I am smacked upside the head with a large dose of reality! Back to School! Here are a few pictures of Dillan and Shealyn's 1st Days of school. Slade is now in the 7th grade and too cool, to take a back to school picture for me! I had to throw that last picture of Shea in because it cracks me up!

Enough Birthdays Already!

So, as you all may already know...August is always a busy month for us. Shealyn turned 3, Slade turned 12 and Keith celebrated his 40th with a big Luau!!!!
